Project AMIL is pleased to invite you to a talk with the renowned Chilean architect, Cecilia Puga.

Cecilia Puga studied Architecture at the Catholic University of Chile and since 1995 she develops her professional practice independently in Santiago, where she has designed projects at different scales and programs, from single-family homes, highlighting the House in Bahía Azul – international reference-, collective housing, educational and industrial equipment, urban design and recently the new headquarters of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.

Her regular academic activity is carried out at the Catholic University of Santiago. In parallel, between 2017 and 2019 she was Guest Professor at the ETH Zurich School of Architecture.

In addition to this, in 2007 and 2015 she was guest Professor at the University of Texas, Austin; and in 2009, he entered the Latitudes Symposium. This same year she was invited to conduct a study at the GSD at Harvard; and in 2011, she was in charge of a Studio Design at the BIAarch in Barcelona.

Currently, her studio is designing the Chilean Pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Expo, and on a heritage recovery project and Museum.

Numerous international specialized media have published her work and in 2010 the magazine 2G no 53 dedicated a monographic number to her work.

In 2009, it was one of the 100 offices worldwide selected by Herzog & De Meuron to design a villa in Inner Mongolia in the context of the Ordos 100 project led by artist Ai Wei Wei and in 2012, Valerio Olgiatti chooses it with 40 offices worldwide to be part of its installation in the context of the Venice Biennale 2012. For the XVI Venice Biennale in 2016, Alejandro Aravena invites her to exhibit her work at the Arsenale.
