We invite you to the third session of the 2026 lecture series organized by World Monuments Fund (WMF) Peru in collaboration with proyectamil.
The Andean Baroque Route in the southern valley of Cusco brings together churches that preserve significant examples of 17th-century mural paintings, featuring iconographic programs of diverse themes.
On this occasion, Dr. Diana Castillo, researcher at the Center for Research and Conservation of Heritage at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC), will explore how these pictorial programs shape the interior spaces of these churches, drawing on studies of their materiality and the experiences gained through their conservation.
