As part of the exhibition The Bouquets by filmmaker Rose Lowder—presented in Arequipa by proyectoamil alongside Alta Tecnología Andina (ATA) and Corriente – Latin American Non-Fiction Film Encounter—we present a masterclass by the renowned filmmaker organized by Corriente Encounter’s Experimental Film School.
With a 50-year career dedicated to researching visual perception processes and the structure of non-commercial cinema—supported by retrospectives at institutions such as the Tate Modern, the Cinémathèque française, the MoMA, and the Museum of Modern Art in Paris—Lowder is one of the most singular, influential, and canonical voices in experimental and avant-garde cinema worldwide.
During this session in Arequipa, she will share various aspects of her creative process and filmmaking through a multiple-program screening.
