Proyecto AMIL is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the vinyl Grabar y Coagular – A History of Sound Pieces by Peruvian Artists (1972-2018). Curated by Luis Alvarado, and published by the independent label Buh Records, the music album shows how, in recent years, the Peruvian visual arts and sound creation have taken a common path.

Grabar y Coagular – A history of sound pieces by Peruvian artists (1972-2018), brings together the work of artists such as: Jorge Eduardo Eielson, Francisco Mariotti, Luz Maria Bedoya, Elena Tejada- Herrara, José Luis Martinat, Eliana Otta, Paola Torres Núñez Prado, Maya Watanabe, Alberto Casari, Daniel Jacoby, Gilda Mantilla and Raimond Chaves, Nicolas Lamas and Juan Diego Tobalina.

During the presentation the photographer Luz María Bedoya, the anthropologist Mijail Mitrovic, the art critic Jorge Villacorta and the editor and curator of the record Luis Alvarado, will talk about the paths of a sound art movement that has become visible and audible. Afterwards, the public will be invited to listen to the album.

Buh Records is a record label founded by Luis Alvarado in 2004. From its birth to the present, it has function as a platform for the diverse experimental music manifestations that have emerged in Peru, from the contemporary to the archive. Buh Records has published more than 100 productions with artists from Perú, Latin America and the world. Its work has received attention from important international media, such as: Mojo, Wire Magazine, FactMag, The Inrockuptibles, Remix, Noisey, The Quetius, Neural, etc.
