At the core of Paucar’s work is performance, through which he builds a dense network of readings that go beyond language. In his video and performance pieces, Paucar communicates through the subtle or highly concentrated movements of his body in natural, urban, and public spaces—mapping an intense cultural and symbolic world.
Paucar constantly stages the contrasts between material and immaterial cultural practices across different societies. His works evoke moments of introspection through a slowed-down gaze, inviting viewers—playfully yet deliberately—into a sense of otherness. What remains are quiet, culturally attuned impressions of space and time.
