proyectoamil presents PRESENTE CONTINUO, Juan Salas’s new project, which explores time as experience, matter, and a phenomenon in constant transformation. Conceived as an integrated yet discontinuous system, the exhibition invites visitors to confront constant change and to experience, directly, the passage of time.
Through projected and reflected lights in prolonged, repetitive rotating movements, the installations create a visual and sensory experience in perpetual transformation. The visitor’s presence becomes essential: without it, nothing would truly be set in motion within the spaces.
Drawing on references to the perpetual motion machine, Athanasius Kircher’s magic lantern, and the three-dimensional explorations of László Moholy-Nagy, PRESENTE CONTINUO proposes a journey in which time expands, fragments, and reveals itself under the appearance of an enigma.
