proyectoamil is pleased to invite you to our upcoming exhibitions, featuring the work of renowned artists Roni Horn and Martin Creed, alongside the enigmatic presence of the artist なっとう (Nattō).

This carefully curated selection spans several decades, offering viewers a unique opportunity to explore the evolving practices of each artist.

Join us for the opening event on Saturday, July 26, which will include a special food enaction (culinary experience) curated by colectivo amasijo, marking their fourth collaboration with us. This evening will also feature a piano, cello and violin concert by musicians Dana Ciocarlie, Ekachai Maskulrat and Juan María Braceras.

The American artist Roni Horn has a multifaceted practice that explores themes of identity, place, and perception through sculpture, photography, drawing, and text. Deeply connected to the landscape and climate of Iceland, Horn’s work invites intimate, often meditative encounters that reflect on the fluidity of meaning and the instability of self. The exhibition presents a carefully curated selection of works that highlight the artist’s precise yet poetic approach, offering viewers a nuanced exploration of presence, memory, and transformation.

British artist Martin Creed is celebrated for his playful, thought-provoking approach that blurs the boundaries between art and everyday life. Winner of the 2001 Turner Prize, Creed’s work spans sculpture, painting, music, film, and performance, often using minimal gestures to challenge conventions and reframe the ordinary. The exhibition will feature a selection of wall paintings, light pieces, and paintings, as well as one of his iconic balloon installations, offering a dynamic overview of his irreverent and deeply engaging practice.

A good day only begins when a large bowel movement has been disposed of in an even bigger body of water and outdoors. Our artistなっとう (Nattō), overall reminds us of a pungent mass of fermented soybeans that stretches into viscous threads, much like well-formed snot. That’s exactly where our artist gets their name— someone who embraces the sticky, the uncomfortable, and the smelly with an almost suspicious enthusiasm. A minimalist who works in bold colors, an admirer of Haydn, Donna Summer, and Barry White whispering “Sha-la-la Means I Love You,” he captures snapshots of the world like someone collecting stains on a white shirt. If his art doesn’t make you at least a little uncomfortable, chances are—you’re just not getting it, mate.

colectivo amasijo (Mexico) is a group of women from diverse backgrounds who believe in the power of collective cooking to nurture the environment, relationships, and self-care. Celebrating diversity and drawing inspiration from nature’s cycles, they work to challenge the culture of scarcity. By listening to non-dominant, land-based narratives, they seek to understand the true cost of climate change and guide efforts toward regeneration. Their daily practice emphasizes the deep interdependence between culture and territory, viewing food as a living network of relationships.
