In parallel to the exhibition Tres Mitades at Proyecto AMIL, Armando Andrade Tudela presents a selection of videos that contrast the work of a group of local and international artists that have been a fundamental reference for his artistic practice.
Throughout his different projects, Andrade Tudela has consistently reflected on the diverse interpretations of Modernity and its possible consequences; including the way in which aesthetic vanguards are assimilated and become activated politically and socially in postcolonial realities. For Progress Leftovers Andrade Tudela proposes an audio-visual dialogue that juxtaposes these processes of translation and transference.
The screenings will be accompanied by the comments of artists Gabriel Acevedo and José Vera Matos.
In Progress Leftovers the following videos will be presented:
H.O by Iván Cardoso (1979)
in dialogue with
Bomba y bataclana en la danza del vientre by Elena Tejada (1999)
