Alondra Máynez / Techno Para Dos – Mexico
The project of sound artist Raúl Villamil (Techno para dos) and harpist Alondra Máynez, based in Mexico City, transforms the sound of the classical and electroacoustic harp by fusing timbral textures and extended techniques, intervening the harp electronically with modular synthesizer sounds and different types of noises. They create soundscapes ranging from ambient and noise to IDM and experimental techno. Alondra and Raul’s purpose is to destabilize the usual perception of the harp.
Lara Alarcón / Cyrill Ferrari – Argentina, Switzerland
The duo of Argentine vocalist Lara Alarcón and Swiss guitarist Cyrill Ferrari works on the margins of improvization, noise and post-punk music. Their music ranges from sweet and cute to raucous and impulsive. With a quartet formation in duo format, Lara spans extreme spectrums with her voice and a stripped down drum kit, while Cyrill splits the guitar signal into two amps and plays riffs and noisy textures. The duo is active in the young and underground European scene. They have played in numerous venues and collaborated with Latinx and European artists.
Luis Sanz – Peru, Switzerland
Lives and works in Bern, Switzerland. He is a multidisciplinary artist who explores synthetic sounds, computer graphics and physical audiovisual experiences. As a musician, Sanz uses the Supercollider programming language to develop rhythmic techniques and algorithmic processes of modulation and pattern generation in digital and analog devices. He works internationally as a soloist and with Noijzu, an electroacoustic noise duo with whom he has performed throughout Asia and Europe.
Malaki – Peru
His trajectory of more than 30 years and a creative pulse that generates the continuous search and investigation of elements, both organic and digital, have allowed him to create new audiovisual experiences. In his facet as a VJ, the visual expression of the collective’s imaginary is the basis of his expressiveness. As an audiovisual artist, returning to the origin of the image to include it in a contemporary visual action is his personal way of interpreting light and sharing it. Malaki is a social communicator from the University of Lima and has participated in audiovisual workshops in cities such as New York and Geneva.
Mauricio Moquillaza / Daniela Cuenca / Rocío Rojas – Peru
A collaborative project that explores the convergences between modular synthesizer composition and the creation of live visuals. The sound spectrum deployed by Moquillaza ranges from drone to the margins of noise, passing through melodic sequences and abrupt textural inflections. Visually, Daniela Cuenca and Rocío Rojas generate live landscapes through the juxtaposition of diverse textures, mimicking the development of the sound work.
