proyectoamil in collaboration with PAF Producciones, present this emblematic punk rock band in our city.
Bikini Kill is a feminist punk band formed in 1990. The band is credited with instigating the Riot Grrrl movement in the early 90’s via their political lyrics, zines, and confrontational live show.
They actively encouraged women to start bands as a means of cultural resistance, inciting female participation and building a feminist community via the punk scene.
