We invite you to the fifth session of the 2026 lecture series organized by World Monuments Fund (WMF) Peru in collaboration with proyectamil.
On this occasion, Dr. Iván Ghezzi, Director of Executing Unit 010: Chankillo, Cradle of Astronomy in Casma and Nepeña, will present the archaeological and astronomical evidence supporting the extraordinary universal value of the Chankillo Astronomical Observatory.
Additionally, he will compare it with other ancient observatories, offering insight into its uniqueness as the only known full-horizon solar calendar in the world.
