proyectoamil is pleased to invite you to a talk dedicated to the work of Rose Lowder, British-Peruvian filmmaker and one of the most singular voices in contemporary experimental cinema.
In her first public appearance in the city of Arequipa, Rose will be in conversation with Elisa Arca and Edward de Ybarra about a career dedicated to exploring new ways of looking at the world. Through a cinematic language developed with patience and rigor, she has built a personal body of work of renewed relevance: in an era marked by the relentless proliferation of digital images, her work invites us to pause, observe, and rediscover the richness of the visual experience, transforming gardens, orchards, and cultivated landscapes into complex compositions where perception, time, and ecology converge.
