Miguel Andrade’s work sits at the intersection of architecture and sculpture. In this in-between space, he explores a constant confrontation and questioning of the boundaries between public and private, social and personal, container and content.

His pieces function as discrete units, but also as structures that delineate space and relate closely to the human body and its scale—using the body as a measure for an object, as a proportion for a structure, and as an index of spatial extension. The body is also understood as the entity that moves through, inhabits, and transforms space.

He has held solo exhibitions in Mexico City, Bogotá, Austin, Texas, and Lima. His work forms part of several collections, including the Museo de Arte de Lima, the Hochschild Collection, and the Testino Collection, as well as other private collections throughout Latin America and Europe.
