In its sixth edition the independent art fair – La Carnicería – returns to proyectoamil in person. For this edition, we have summoned 13 galleries, independent spaces, and collectives that will have their own exhibition spaces. In addition, we will present the space titled El salón de la carne with a selection of young artists curated by the organizers and that will be exhibited in the main galleries of proyectoamil. In total, more than 60 local and international artists will be shown simultaneously, with proposals that defy traditional formats and that in many cases do not have commercial representation.
Organized by artists María Abaddon and Rodrigo Gómez Olivos, this edition of the fair has been conceived as a total art festival, hosting artworks in various formats like videos, installations, performances, fanzines, music, and a fashion show featuring the Skin Couture collection by Bondage Factory. A platform for both artistic experimentation and community building.
In 2022 and after an obliged virtual edition, La Carnicería consolidates itself as one of the most important platforms for the alternative art scene in Lima. At the same time, the fair reaffirms its commitment to generate a sustainable artistic ecosystem, promoting the work of young creators and allowing the public to buy art at affordable prices.
