Mladen Dolar is a Slovenian philosopher, psychoanalyst, cultural theorist and film critic. On Saturday, June 29, the professor from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia will give a workshop entitled On Rumors and Gossip at proyectoamil.
This event is jointly organized by CEF, Grupo Hermes, the Department of Humanities and the Faculty of Architecture of the PUCP, and proyectoamil.
About Mladen Dolar
Professor at the University of Ljubljana, he is known for his profound work in Lacanian theory, philosophy of sound and cultural criticism. His influential book A Voice and Nothing Else (2006) examines the voice in its linguistic, metaphysical, physical, ethical and political dimensions, and has been translated into six languages. A central member of the Ljubljana School, Dolar has collaborated closely with Slavoj Žižek, contributing to the contemporary reinterpretation of Jacques Lacan and strengthening the field of critical theory.
